PrideLink Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: May 25 2026

By accessing or using PrideLink (the "Site”), including the website and mobile applications available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms”). Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any updates.

1. Parties

PrideLink Corporation and its owner(s) ("PrideLink,” "we,” "our,” or "us”) operate this platform.

  • Clients: Users seeking to hire freelancers
  • Freelancers: Users offering services or trades for a fee

2. Nature of the Platform

PrideLink is a technology platform and marketplacethat connects Clients and Freelancers.

  • PrideLink does not provide services
  • PrideLink does not employ freelancers
  • PrideLink is not a party to any service agreement

All services, agreements, and obligations are strictly between Users.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old
  • The platform is based in Canada and intended primarily for Canadian users
  • Users must comply with all applicable laws

4. Registration & Verification

Users must provide accurate information.

  • Clients: name, email, password
  • Freelancers must also:
    • Verify their email
    • Provide a valid phone number
    • Upload a clear profile photo showing their face

Users are responsible for all activity under their account.

5. Services, Pricing & Bookings

  • Freelancers set their own prices
  • Displayed prices include a 10% PrideLink commission
  • Services may be arranged through:
    • Project postings
    • Freelancer bids or quotes
    • Booking calendars

Work should not proceed until both parties agree on terms.

6. Payments (Stripe & Escrow)

  • All payments must occur through the Platform
  • Payments are processed via Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms
  • Payments are held in escrow
  • Funds are released only after project completion
  • Currency: CAD

PrideLink does not control payment processing systems directly

7. Fees

  • PrideLink charges a 10% commission per transaction
  • PrideLink may introduce future fees (subscriptions, listings, etc.)

8. Refunds, Cancellations & Disputes

  • Users must resolve disputes directly with each other
  • PrideLink does not mediate disputes
  • PrideLink may provide:
    • Transaction records
    • Communication data (if available)

Exception:

  • If a project is cancelled and not completed, refunds may be processed through the payment system

9. Taxes

PrideLink does not collect or remit taxes.

  • Freelancers are responsible for:
    • Reporting income
    • Paying applicable taxes

10. User Responsibilities

Clients must:

  • Provide accurate job details
  • Pay for completed work
  • Communicate respectfully

Freelancers must:

  • Deliver services professionally
  • Provide accurate descriptions
  • Meet agreed timelines

11. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

  • Offer illegal services
  • Provide unsafe or hazardous services
  • Misrepresent services or credentials
  • Harass or abuse others
  • Engage in fraud or scams

PrideLink may remove any content or account violating these rules.

12. Independent Contractors & Risk

  • Freelancers are independent contractors
  • PrideLink has no control over how services are performed

Users acknowledge:

Hiring or performing services through PrideLink is done entirely at your own risk

13. Limitation of Liability (ZERO LIABILITY CLAUSE)

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

PrideLink and its owner(s) assume ZERO liability for:

  • Any transactions between users
  • Service quality or outcomes
  • Injuries, damages, or losses
  • Payment disputes
  • User conduct or negligence
  • Platform downtime or data loss

PrideLink is strictly a facilitator platform only.

14. Account Suspension & Termination

PrideLink may suspend or terminate accounts at any time, without notice, for:

  • Fraud or illegal activity
  • Safety concerns
  • Violations of these Terms
  • No-shows or misconduct

15. Intellectual Property

All PrideLink branding, software, and content are protected.

Users may not copy, distribute, or reuse platform materials without permission.

16. Privacy (Interim Notice)

PrideLink collects and uses data to operate the platform.

A full Privacy Policy applies under Privacy Policy.

17. App Store Compliance Disclaimer

PrideLink is available via Google Play and Apple App Store.

  • PrideLink is not affiliated with Apple or Google
  • These companies are not responsible for the Platform or its use

18. Miscellaneous

  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for events outside our control
  • Severability: Invalid sections do not affect others
  • Updates: Terms may be modified at any time

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable province of operation.
